My approach to working with my clients is collaborative and nonjudgmental. My goal is to help you develop insights and skills to overcome whatever difficulties or barriers are in your way.
I understand that past experiences shape and impact current feelings and behaviors. I provide support and guidance to help you find the most effective ways to navigate through your thoughts, feelings, and relationships with others.
Every individual is unique. So, your story frames my therapeutic response. While I practice within a Cognitive Behavioral Framework, I feel that it is important to customize therapy to each person.
I offer a variety of treatment modalities to best match each individual with whom I work.
It is true that there are always at least two sides to every story and my role is to listen closely, to gain an understanding of what you are each looking for - in the relationship and from counseling. In couples counseling, I will help you identify sources of connection as well as addressing areas of conflict.
I will help you communicate with each other in a productive and effective manner as one very necessary step towards resolving your differences.
